Jesus said, “Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

Matthew 28:19-20

JW Communications is using JW Benchmark funds to reach out to our communities.  The Social Media Marketing campaign has begun on Facebook and Instagram.  There are adjustments being made to the marketing program in order to have maximum effectiveness.

The JW Block Party and Tailgate ministry started off with wonderful event on National Night Out.  We had 75+ people come by and 6 families interested in more information about JWUMC.  This was a huge success for the first time using this model of ministry.

JW Preschool hosted the annual Trunk or Treat on Sunday, October 28th.  They teamed up with our FIT, Kids, and Youth ministries to pull off a wonderful event. It reached over 100 people (parents and kids) in our preschool, church and area.  We had games, bounce houses and free food.

JW Kids and the JW Missions Team joined forces to host a Potato Bar for the teachers over at Yeager.  The teachers were very happy for their hearty lunch on a long day.  Spending time and serving our teachers gave us an opportunity to get to know them.  We also left a prayer box for teachers to leave requests in.  We will follow up with those request as they come in.

JW Youth ministry is in its second year under the leadership of Chris McCarthy. In Chris’ own words, “Right now I am focused on Kleb Intermediate and Klein High School because they are the closest to our church and have the largest potential for growth. I am currently a part of a group other student ministry directors that are helping the Cubs for Christ Club at Kleb. I will be attending one meeting with students per month and I am able to promote JDub Student Ministries’ future events. I will also get to speak once or twice this year and we are looking at a end of the year tail gate opportunity.”

JW Missions Team is hosting Rev. Joe from Kenya.  Rev. Joe is sharing updates about the JW partnership and the Gilgil ministries.  He will be meeting with a large group of UMC pastors at a District meeting to find more support for this great ministry.
